Donald Bowers Jr

Donald Lee Bowers Jr., 77, of Baltimore, passed away on June 7, 2018 at the Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on October 23, 1940 to the late Avonell and Donald Lee Bowers Sr. in Lancaster.

Don was a retiree of Abbot Laboratories. He was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church, and a member of the Buckeye Trail Association. Don loved to buy and restore antique cars and went to many antique and classic Car Shows. He also had a woodworking shop and made many things for his children, grandchildren, and friends. Don was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed very much by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his wife, Carol Bowers; children, Craig (Cheri) Raker, Barbara Cordle, and Tracey Bowers; brother, Keith (Sharon) Bowers; sister, Pamela (Tom) Sager; grandchildren, Renea Ruple, Chelsea Raker, Cheyenne Raker, Cierra Raker, and Averi (Cody) Walker; and 6 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher L. Raker; son-in-law, Daniel Cordle; and parents.

A funeral service will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OH, 43105, officiated by Pastor Branson Hawks. Burial will follow the service at Union Evangelical Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home on Tuesday, and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
