Don E. Cadillac Ford of Lancaster, Ohio on December 31, 2012, we lost a wonderful man, who left a lasting impression on everyone. Don E. Ford was 74 years old, born on October 21, 1938 in Etna, Ohio to Don and Marie Ford. He fought a long courageous battle and will be greatly missed. In the end, he was surrounded by loved ones.
Don graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1956. He loved sports and was quarterback for the football team, helping take them his junior and senior year to undefeated seasons.
He is survived by his loving companion and best friend of 30+ years, Joyce Berry, his children, Steve (Christy) Ford of Baltimore, Ohio, Jim Berry and Jenna Berry Hughes of Lancaster, Ohio, David Ford and Lisa Griffin of Virginia and grandchildren, Jaimee Berry, Jimmy Berry, and Haley Hughes of Lancaster, Ohio, Travis, Tyler and Abbee Ford of Baltimore, Ohio, Christina Puleo, Davis and Denise Ford, Luke, Amanda and Renae Griffin of Virginia, several cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don E. Ford, mother, Marie Thompson, wonderful stepfather, Dave Thompson and grandparents.
Don was a unique and remarkable man, one of a kind. He loved to entertain and make people happy, truly a joy to be around. Joyce was his soul mate; they spent their time together golfing, playing cards and traveling. For those of us blessed enough to spend time with the two of them, it was apparent just how devoted they were to each other.
Per Dons request, there will be no service or viewing hours. Caring Cremation
