Dewey Ralph Cales

Dewey Ralph Cales, age 90 of Lancaster went to be with his Lord on August 17th, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was born on Nov. 1, 1930 to the late Fred and Malissia Dean Cales in Handley, WV.  He served his country in the Army during the Korean War.  He was a meat cutter for 32+ years at Ohio Packing.  Dewey was a member of the New Life Christian Church who enjoyed fishing, camping and playing Wii Golf.  His amazing personality and love for life will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mildred L. Cales; step-sons, Mel (Diana) Jones, Ronald (Darleen) Hutchinson, and Randall Hutchinson; daughters, Janet (James) Shriver, Jeanette (Sam) Sudlow, and Jackie (Emanuel) Call; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Chester (Naomi) Cales; and several nieces and nephews.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents; 6 sisters; 3 brothers; step son, Daniel Hutchinson; 2 grandchildren; Shane Hutchinson and Curtis Metrick.

A funeral service will take place at New Life Christian Center 2642 Col.-Lanc. Rd. NW Lanc. OH 43130 at 10:30AM, Tuesday, Aug. 24th officiated by Pastor Gary Keller and Bishop Rod Pamer.  Burial with Veteran Honors through the Lancaster Veteran Burial Detail will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Family and friends may call from 3PM until 5PM and 6PM until 8PM Monday, all at the church.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
