Derek Runyon

Derek Runyon 26 of Mt. Perry Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2019 at his residence.   He was born on September 8, 1992 in Columbus., Ohio.  Derek was a graduate of Logan-Hocking High School.

He worked for Zarley Excavating, enjoyed the art of drawing, loved cars and trucks and enjoyed shooting firearms.

Derek is survived by his mother, Michele Runyon of Mt. Perry, Ohio; father, Jeff (Evelyn) Runyon of Fairfield Beach, Ohio; brother, Dallas (Lehne) Runyon of St. Louisville, Ohio; grandmother, Louise Runyon of Lancaster, Ohio; nieces, Ireland Rose and Dallas Lily; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman Runyon and Dallas and Jerri Taylor, and an uncle, Scottie Taylor.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio.  Family and friends may visit 2 hours prior the service on Friday.
