Dennis Pete Williams Sr., age 64, of Lancaster, died June 20th 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on Dec. 16, 1950 to the late, Emory and Anna Hoke Williams. He served our country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. Pete, worked for Anchor Hocking for 10 years, and then as a Correctional Officer, for 28 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Pete will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary LeFever Williams of Lancaster; children, Dennis Pete Williams Jr. of Pleasantville, and Katie (Kenneth) Hursey of Lancaster; grandchildren, Emilee, Jenna, and Anna Williams and Wyatt and Weston Hursey; siblings, David (Ruth), Doug, and Jon Williams, Julie (Fred) Skaggs, and Janet (Rich) Charles; brother and sister-in-laws, Richard (Cathy), Regina, Kenneth, and Barbara LeFever; and several nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Emory Williams; and brother in-laws, Bud and Eugene LeFever.
A memorial service will take place at the First United Methodist Church on Friday at 11:30AM. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 12:30PM until 4:30 PM.
