Delmer Harris Sr

Delmer Paul Harris Sr., age 75, of Bremen, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. He was born on April 17, 1938 in Spencer, WV to Leonard and Gladys Boatwright Harris. He retired from Waverly Oil in 1974, then retired from Witco in 1988, and was currently an operational supervisor at Kilbarger Construction & Drilling. He was a member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association. Delmer was an oil well specialist who loved his profession and his family.
Delmer is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, JoAnn Roe Harris of Bremen; sons, Daniel Harris of Blanchester, Delmer (Debbie Austin) Harris Jr., and Robert Harris both of Bremen, and Jon Wagoner of SC; daughters, Penny (Steven) McLister of ND and Corinna (Robert) Sisson of Amanda; grandchildren, Jared, Sean "Nick", and Derek McLister, Noah, Andrea, Robert Jr., and Malissa Harris, Brett, Jessica, Megan, and Nathan Sisson, and Haley Wagoner; and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Betty), James (Elizabeth), Roger (Marilyn), Elwood, and Dean (Robin) Harris; sisters, Thelma Morgan, Audrey Chute, Jean Moore, Rose (Donald) Hubbard, Katherine Vollmer, Sarah Eberts, and Teressa (Carey) Glenn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Phyllis Holcomb and great-grandson, Ethan.
