Della L. (Sweet) Partridge

Della Louise Partridge (Sweet), age 94, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Primrose Memory Care on November 17, 2022.  Della was born in London, Ohio on March 10, 1928 to Maurice and Minerva Sweet.

She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Jerry) Brinkman, children Karen Partridge, Cathie (Jack) Partridge-White, Debby (Robert) Reed, and Ted (Margie) Partridge, grandchildren Jenny (Bryan) Stewart, Lisa (Brian) Gyovai, Erica Partridge, and William Partridge; great-grandchildren, Reese and Adrienne Gyovai, Anna and Henry Stewart.

Della was preceded in death by her husband The Reverend Theodore C. Partridge, parents Maurice and Minerva Sweet, and brother Robert Sweet.

A 1949 graduate of London High School, she attended Capital University and went on to graduate from Ohio University.  She was employed by Huntington National Bank before returning to college and embarking on a career in education, working as a teacher, home based specialist, curriculum coordinator, and Principal for Forest Rose School. Della loved to travel at home and abroad, particularly with her longtime friend Ann Decker, and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and dogs.

She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church.  Pastor Diana Gugel will officiate the funeral service on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 12:00pm at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church, 105 East Mulberry Street, Lancaster Ohio. A graveside service will follow at Forest Rose Cemetery. Visitation will take place Monday November 21, at FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME 405 North Columbus Street, Lancaster, Ohio from 5-7pm, and at the Church one hour prior to the funeral service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Primrose Assisted Living and Memory Care and Fairhope Hospice who provided Della with loving care.
