Davida S. Spears, 72, Lancaster, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011.

Davida owned and operated Davida’s Beauty Salon for 42 years. She was also a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens and played in the Olivedale Kitchen Band for many years.

Davida is survived by her daughter, Tina Sowards of Pennsylvania; son and loving caregiver for many years, Paul Spears of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Jane McGraw of Lancaster; brother, Neil (Doris) Moore of Louisiana; and nieces and nephews.

Davida was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Marie Moore; loving husband, Frederick Spears; grandson, Jason Eugene Spears Sowards; brothers, Russell Moore, Paul Moore, Jeffrey Moore, and Junior Moore; and sisters, Eileen Moore, Ina Kossler, and Martha Seifert.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at the Frank E Smith Funeral Home with Pastor George Valco officiating. Friends may visit from 1-2 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Caring Cremation has taken place.
