David Michael Mick Schwamberger 74 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his residence.
He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Air Force and was a retired analyst for Lucent Technologies with over 30 years of service. He loved woodworking and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
David is survived by his son, Michael (Roberta) Schwamberger of Logan, Ohio; daughter, Michelle (Walt Dillard) Hamill of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Trisha (Chase) Miller, Ashley (Cole) Platt, Dennis Mikey Hamill, Baylie Schwamberger, and Tyler Schwamberger; great-grandson, Cohen Platt; brothers, James Schwamberger of Portsmouth, Ohio, Bernard (Diane) Schwamberger of Fairborn, Ohio, William (Debbie) Schwamberger of Portsmouth, Ohio, Robert (Shirley) Schwamberger of Missouri, and Edward (Barb) Schwamberger of Portsmouth, Ohio; sister, Annett (Roger) Evans of Coalgrove, Ohio; son-in-law, Dennis Hamill; many nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes to Matt May, Charles Frank, Jim Kinnard Tom Haag, and his last caregiver, Chris Hart for their help.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis J. and Frances J. Schwamberger, sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen (Bill) Haag and Mary (Bob) Chandler and special cousin, Edward Hock.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Father James Walter as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 5-8 p.m. and a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
