Dave H. Stevens

Dave H. Stevens, 67 of Sugar Grove, Ohio went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Fairfield Medical Center.

He was in the US Navy serving during Vietnam and was a retired stationary engineer from Treehouse.  Dave was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, served the puppet ministry and was a leader of the Men’s Discipleship Class.  He also enjoyed planting blue berries, gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Michele; daughters, Elizabeth Stevens of Lancaster, Ohio and Cynthia Stevens of Sugar Grove, Ohio; son, Joe (Marina) Stevens of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters, Kathy Thomas and Jennie McDonald both of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and canine companion, Neala.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Viola Stevens.

A memorial service will be October 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM the First Baptist Church, Lancaster, Ohio with Dr. Art Fulks officiating.  A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM on the First Baptist Church Lancaster OH Facebook page. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO.
