Dave McCoy

Dave McCoy, 53, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Dave served in the U.S. Navy. He was a managing custodian for Lancaster City Schools for many years. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and the Charity Newsies. Dave loved spending time with his family. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds fan.

Dave is survived by his wife, Barb McCoy; son, Pat McCoy; granddaughter, Chloe Alford; mother, Judy Lewis; father, David McCoy, Sr.; brother, Ed (Laura) Hebb; sister, Linda (Aaron) White; mother-in-law, Gertie Prucinsky; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann and Jim Fisher and Mark and Carol Prucinsky; dear friend, Dan Zultz; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and beloved dogs, Ollie and Bella.

Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Mary and brother-in-law, Jeff.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 231 E. Mulberry St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Pastor Mark Raddatz officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church. Caring Cremation through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster.
