Darren Thomas Woolever, 41, of Lancaster, passed away on March 21, 2022. He was born in Lancaster to Thomas Woolever and Linda Hensley on May 25, 1980.
Darren was a proud Army Veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan war. He was a member of the 101st Air Assault in Ft. Campbell, KY. While in the military, Darren earned the following decorations, badges, and medals: Army Good Conduct Metal/Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal/Global War on Terrorism Service Medal/National Defense Service Medal/Army Service Ribbon/Overseas Service Bar (2nd Award)/Expert Badge Hand Grenade/Marksman Badge M-16 Rifle. Darren was also a long time EMT for Portsmouth Ambulance.
He is survived by his father, Thomas “Tom” (Joyce) Woolever; mother, Linda Hensley; siblings, twin brother Dustin Woolever, Trevor Woolever, and Nicole Black; step-brother, John Layne; nephews, David, Nicholas, William, and Jordan; niece, Aria; special family member, Braden Black; great niece, Annabelle Black; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Geneva and Kenneth Sanders, and Helen and Charles Woolever.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Family and friends may visit from 5 PM until the time of services on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darren’s name to the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.
