Darrell Eugene “Gene” Lucas 74 of Bremen, Ohio went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his residence.
He worked for American Standard and also in landscaping. He was a member of Bible Holiness Church in Bremen, Ohio.
He is survived by his daughters, Vickie (Richard) Vaughn of Lancaster, Ohio, Kim (James) Mason of Mt. Perry, Ohio and Leah Lucas of Bremen, Ohio; granddaughter, Heather Lucas of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; brothers, Don (Betty) Lucas of Kentucky, Larry (Carolyn) Lucas of Bremen, Ohio and Ronnie (Dottie) Lucas of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Mary Little of Wayne, Michigan, Erma Beam of Kentucky and Arnita Willey of Columbus, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and canine companion, Bear.
Darrell was preceded in death by his wife Janet S. Lucas of 51 years, parents, Delmar and Lona Lucas, brother, Clyde and sister, Joyce.
Funeral service will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Marvin Shipman officiating. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
