Darlene Schmidt

Darlene F. Schmidt, 77, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Hospice of Central Ohio.

Darlene was born on October 9, 1940, in Lancaster, Ohio, to James and Rose Friend. She worked as a secretary at the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation - Research and Development Center and was a graduate of I.C.S. Interior Design. In addition, she was involved in the origination of the Fairfield County Heritage Association Candlelight Tour. Darlene had a special passion for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Appalachian Bear Rescue organization.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband, Beuther L. Schmidt.

Private interment arrangements at the Forest Rose Cemetery Mausoleum in Lancaster are being handled by the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.
