Darlene Diddle

Darlene Ann Diddle, 75, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Homestead Center, with her loving family by her side.

Darlene was a 1961 graduate of Lancaster High School and she received her bachelors degree from Ohio University. Darlene was a teacher with Bloom Carroll School District for 31 years. She also was a volunteer with the Fairfield County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. Darlene was a member of Faith Memorial Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years.

Darlene is survived by her brother, Joseph Arthur Diddle; uncle, Ronald Diddle; and several cousins.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Leroy and Betty Ilene (Spaun) Diddle; aunts and uncles, Thelma Diddle, Wauneta (Clyde) Lutz, Archie (Margaret) Diddle, Ruth Layberger, and Bruce Spaun.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 13th, at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Pastor Mel Truex officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
