Darlene K. Cushing 68 of Lancaster, Ohio died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center. She was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Air Force. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lancaster Sales for 18 years before starting her own accounting business known as Business Pro Inc. to later partner with her daughter Lori Anderson.
She loved her family and grandchildren and is survived by her daughter, Lori (Michael) Anderson of Carroll, Ohio; grandchildren, Kelly Anderson of Carroll, Ohio and Zackary Anderson of Carroll, Ohio; brother, Daniel J. (Dee) miller of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Antonia M. (Marvin) Saltsman of Carroll, Ohio; step-brother, James L. (Charlotte) Miller of Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell E. and Lottie W. Miller, step-sister, Jean Dennis, nephew, John Miller and canine companion, Annie.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Father Donald Franks of St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church as celebrant. Burial to follow in Carroll Cemetery with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
