Daniel L. Claypool 66 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Pickering House. He was born on March 16, 1950 in Lancaster, Ohio to Juanita Claypool and the late Don Claypool.

He was Regional Credit Manager at Anchor Hocking Glass Corp., Borden and Kubota Credit Company. Dan enjoyed collecting promotional cars and toy farm machinery. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and a member of the Amanda Lions Club and club secretary for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda; son, Jason (Michelle) Claypool; granddaughters, Ashley and Carley; brothers, Tim (Nancy) Claypool and David Claypool; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Fred Walter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom (Robin) Walter and Ken (Nyetta) Walter and several nieces and nephews.

At Dan’s request, Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Grace United Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Melinda Quellhorst and Rev. Terry Borah officiating. Family and friends may visit Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time service at the church.
