Dale Gene Wilson

Dale ”Gene” Wilson, age 73 of Columbus, died October 7th, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East.  He was born on May 22, 1948 in Lancaster, to the late Raymond and Nellie Klinger Wilson. He was in the US. Army.  He attended the Salvation Army, enjoyed gold prospecting, wood working, fishing, creating oil paintings, metallurgy, harnessing the power of explosives, and was naturally loved by all animals.  Gene’s exploration of all things of this world and love for life will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Anne K. Gorman Wilson; children, Dianna Lynn Hamilton, Jan (Steve) Pekula, Tonya Troidl; step-sons, Andrew Maxwell, Gary (Natalie) Maxwell, Pat (Paola) Maxwell, and Jan (Steve) Pekula; grandchildren, Alexis Hamilton, Dustin Hamilton, Christy Short, and Michael McCann; siblings, Don (Betty) Wilson; beloved ex wife and friend, Kathy Wilson; sister in law, Judy Wilson; several nieces; nephews; friends, and two Pekingese Chihuahuas, Bo and Bandit.

He was preceded in death by his son, Lee, parents, and step-son, Samuel Maxwell and brother, Dan Wilson.

An informal service and story telling will take place at 6PM on Wednesday Oct 20th at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home 405 N Columbus St. Lancaster, Oh 43130.  Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Frank E.
