Dale R. Shepperd

Lancaster - Dale R. Shepperd, 87, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Fairfield Medical Center.

Dale was born in Somerset, Ohio on December 29,1935 to the late Frank and Edna L. (Lones) Shepperd. He retired as a Chief Yeoman for the US Navy. Dale was a member of the AmVets, American Legion, and the VFW.

Dale is survived by his son Mike (Sara) Shepperd; daughter Barbara Shepperd; granddaughter Heather (Raymond) Webster; granddaughter-in-law Deanna Pittman; great grandchildren Cameron and Yvie Webster; and Raine Shepperd; sister Irene McCandlish; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth A. (Tracey) Shepperd; daughter Diane Shaw; grandson Phillip Shepperd; parents; and brother Roger Shepperd.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 North Columbus Street, Lancaster. Calling hours will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, May 8, 2023 in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the New Lexington Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW 1380 after the burial.
