Dale Meeks

Dale Edward Meeks, 79, of Baltimore, passed peacefully at his home to join family and friends in heaven.

Dale was a 1951 graduate of Hebron High School and married his wife Eileen on June 3, 1951. Soon after he and Eileen moved to Baltimore and ran Poverty Hills Farm until his retirement.

Dale is survived by his wife, Eileen M. (Keller) Meeks; daughters, Angela (Butch) Durgin of Baltimore and Lorna (Steve) Enyart of Westfield, Indiana; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; niece, Susan Bowie Giles of Morristown, Tennessee; and many other nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Sue Meeks; parents, Jesse and Lola (Williams) Meeks; brother, Ralph Meeks; and sister, Katherine Bowie Copeland.

Funeral service for Dale will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore with Chaplain Linda Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
