Dakota Fields

December 25, 1990 — January 5, 2015

Dakota Dyar Fields 12/25/1990-1/5/2015
If you knew Dakota, you knew he was the most Extraordinary Person! Dakota had a certain glow about him-he touched people’s lives coast to coast. Truly “made in the U.S.A.; Dakota lived in Florida, Las Vegas and Ohio making many caring friends wherever he traveled. Born in Florida, he was involved in sports from the age of 4, he was all boy. Dakota had a natural talent, no matter the sport, football, baseball, soccer, go-kart racing, basketball and even jam skating; he pushed himself to be excellent in everything he did. As Dakota grew up, in his younger teens, the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was there he experienced so much more in his life, dirt biking, four-wheeling and new friends. This is where he found his love for animals, too big to be house broken-that’s for sure…Horses, he fell in love with them. Anyone who knew Dakota, knows he loved the fast life & horses were fast, free, spirited, stubborn, compassionate, fun loving and caring-All the same traits that Dakota Had! At the age of 20, our family made another move; it was time to bring Dakota home to his family roots in Ohio. Dakota was raised as a city boy, but quickly found out he had Country boy in his veins. He loved his trucks, horses, boots, cowboy hat and bonfires! No matter what, Dakota could always adapt to his surroundings and everything always came natural. In Ohio, he discovered his love for working out, eating right and competing with a local Crossfit team in Lancaster. At the age of 24, Dakota was taken from us, doing what he would do for his friend or strangers, he was the only person I have ever seen help absolutely anyone.
Baltimore, Ohio is the home of our family; Dakota is the grandson of Tip and Sandee Walton and son of Kathy Walton who grew up here, as popular as “Superman” with his friends from coast to coast, Dakota cherished his family most of all.
Dakota made the most of his life and experienced more in 24 years than many do in a lifetime. Taken away too soon, he lived the true meaning, “Living everyday as if it were your last”.
Dakota had a service in Florida, a memorial in Las Vegas and has now been flown home to have his Final Viewing and Service here on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to his mother, Kathy Manning, 415 Lake Rd. NE, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 to help with the funeral expenses.
