Cynthia A. (Bowen) Coakley

Cynthia A. Coakley, age 71 of Lancaster, passed away at Fairfield Medical Center on August 26, 2023.  She was born to the late Sylvester and Marjorie Hiles Bowen on March 27, 1952 in Lancaster, OH.  She greatly enjoyed the rewarding work she did at Crestview Nursing Home, helping others as an STNA.  Cindy was always the life of the party!  Whether it was her center staged dance moves, beaming smile, uplifting personality, vibrant fingernails, and style, she is someone everyone remembers fondly.  Her storytelling was matched by none. She greatly loved any festive occasion and flourished when surrounded by family and friends.  She loved to travel and was a stranger to none. Cindy enjoyed surprising people with gifts and truly loved life to the fullest and her fond memories will be cherished by all!

She is survived by her husband, Richard Coakley; daughters, Heather (John) Brill and Angie (Steve) Angle; grandchildren, Katlyn (David) Covell, Stephanie (Jacob) Hawk, Brandon (Kameron) Angle, Abby (Mike Conant II) Stebleton, Sophie Angle, Zander Angle, Courtney (Jason) Speakman, Shelby Uhl, and Trystan Uhl; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Suzi (Phillip) Miller; sister-in-law, Donna Bowen; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey L. Uhl; parents, Sylvester and Marjorie Bowen, brothers, Lanny and Jonathon Bowen; and niece Kimberly Bitler.

A funeral service will take place at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, August 31st, 2023 at 7PM.  Family and friends may visit from 5PM until 7PM on Thursday at the funeral home.  Caring Cremation™ will take place following the service.
