Connie Lynn (Taylor) Tyler, 52, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Saturday November 25, 2017 at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born on May 15, 1965 in Sevierville, Tennessee, to the late Wesley and Ruth (Spaw) Taylor. She grew up in Groveport, Ohio, and graduated from Groveport Madison High School in 1983.

Connie was known by her kind heart and generous spirit, always putting others before herself. In addition to raising their own three daughters, Connie and John fostered over 20 children, three of whom they have adopted. She served as president of the Bloom-Carroll School PTO, and volunteered in many church and school activities. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and designing art projects including beautiful cards and remembrances sent to friends and family during special or difficult times. Connie also loved scrapbooking, often memorializing special events for family and friends. She loved the holidays, especially sharing the Christmas season with family.

She is survived by her husband, John T. Tyler; children, Hillary (Tim) Brett, Makenzie, Zoe, Kevin, Leigha, Nicholas, Dakota, and Corey; and brother, Chris Hicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandmother, Ruby Ellen Griffin, with whom she was very close.

A funeral service celebrating Connie’s life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Pleasant Chapel Church of God, 3225 Old Mill Road in Lancaster, Ohio with Pastor Steve Rauch officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Rose Cemetery in Lancaster. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, Ohio, 43130
