Connie Kay (Wymer) Cox, passed away December 8, 2020, at the age of 66. She was a once in a lifetime woman. The absolute best wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend to all. She was selfless and kind, opening her arms to all. She knew no stranger and struck up conversations everywhere she went. She was an amazing story teller, loved to play jokes, and lit up any room with her smile, energy, and laughter. She lived for her children and nine grandchildren, who were the center of her universe. Days with grandma included adventures from tea parties and cards to scavenger hunts and all their favorite treats. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.
Connie was born on August 5, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio. She attended Eastmoor High School and went on to become a successful realtor, most recently with Coldwell Banker Realty.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Don Cox of Lancaster, Ohio; daughters Brooke (Steve) Kondash of Carroll, Ohio and Lindsay (Mark) Love of Upper Arlington, Ohio; step-daughters, Sarah (Matthew) Waites and Abbey (Tim) Bolin; grandchildren Chase, Arianna, Jackson, Jacob, Mason, Olive, Cameron, Cooper, and Callie; sister, Gloria Edgerton; brothers John (Joyce) Wymer, Gregg (Stacy) Wymer and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Herbert “Dow” Wymer of Columbus, Ohio.
Thank you to the staff at Fairfield Medical Center, who took amazing care of her, provided encouraging words, and held her hand when we could not, during an 11 day battle with complications due to COVID.
