Cloyce H. Brown Brownie, age 96 of Lancaster, died September 28th, 2013 at The Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Lancaster to Clement and Lillie Cooper Brown on December 14, 1916. He was a lifetime member of the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church. He was a 1934 graduate of Lancaster High School. He was retired from Ohio Power Co. as a distribution planner. Cloyce was a 70 year member of Lancaster Lodge #57, Lancaster, Chapter #11, Lancaster Council #3 and Lancaster Commandery #2 K.T., He was a 32nd degree A.A.S.R. and a member of Aladdin Shrine Temple. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was survived by his son, Cloyce (Lynne) Brown of Reynoldsburg; daughter, Joyce Lee, of Yorktown Virginia; Long Time Loving Companion, Bernadette Shahan, of Lancaster; grandchildren , Laurie Brown, Jeffery Brown, and Julie Prevost Havermann; great-grandchildren, Eric Havermann, and Ryan Havermann.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary King Brown; son-in-law Robert H. Lee; grandson, Mark Prevost; brothers, Carl and Clement; sisters, Marjorie Morris and Marian Edelman; and parents.
A funeral service will take place at the Sixth Ave. United Methodist Church at 10:30AM on Thursday, officiated by Rev. Rick Jones. The Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail will have a committal service following the service at Union Grove Cemetery, 400 Winchester Cemetery Rd. Canal Winchester, OH. Family and friends may call from 2 until 4PM and 6 until 8PM Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
