Clark Dixon

July 26, 1948 — June 29, 2017

Clark Dixon, age 68 of Thornville died at OSU Medical center on June 29th, 2017. He was born on July 26th, 1948 in Wooster, to the late Frank and Lois Lyle Dixon Sr. Clark was a proud Vietnam Veteran, who served his country in the U.S. Army in the famous 7th Calvary, First Calvary Division, where he was a Pathfinder. He was a member of the AMVETS post 51 and also the American Legion post 637 in Millersport. He retired from the Ohio Paperboard Corp. Clark was a quiet man, who accomplished much in his life. He enjoyed hunting and loved the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his son, Jerame Dixon; granddaughter, Lauren Dixon; brothers, Frank (Nancy Snider) Dixon and Dave (Annie Thompson) Dixon; niece, Heidi Dixon; and last love, Sue Arledge.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 3PM, at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Rev. Steve Bush. Military Honors will take place on Saturday at 2:45PM by the Millersport American Legion Post 637. Family and Friends may call on Friday July 14th from 1PM to 3PM and 5PM to 7PM and 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday. . Caring Cremation will take place following the service and a private burial of the cremains will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Baltimore at a later date.
