Clara G. "Boots" Stoltz-White, a radiant soul whose gentle spirit touched the lives of many, passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on February 25, 1932, Clara's life journey began in a world that would swiftly change around her, yet she remained steadfastly devoted to her family and friends, embodying love and warmth throughout her years.
Clara dedicated her professional life to the Defense Construction Supply Center, where she managed government inventory until her well-earned retirement. It was a career marked by diligence and commitment, traits that mirrored her approach to home and kin.
As the youngest among her siblings, Clara affectionaly know to her family as "Boots" exemplified the role of the peacemaker. Despite her petite stature, she was “small but mighty,” a testament to her formidable spirit and unwavering kindness. Those who knew her best often recall her friendly demeanor and the melodious timbre of her voice—a gift that made every phone call a delightful experience.
Clara was an artist at heart who found joy in the simple act of creation. Her hands lovingly crafted Easter dresses for both herself and her daughter, memories that linger like cherished heirlooms passed down through generations. These moments, small yet significant, illuminated a home filled with laughter and familial love.
With pride, Clara celebrated her two children—Richard (Jackie) Stoltz and Margaret Green—who were among her greatest accomplishments. They, along with her step-son, Rick White, and her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Stoltz, Stephanie (Houssem) Sahraoui, Jennifer (Nathan) Crook, Michelle (Keith Bost) Stoltz, Dawn (Rylan) Zies, and Joseph (Bailey) Green, were her gleaming treasures. Clara’s heart swelled further with appreciation for her step-grandchildren, Sheryl (Rodney Mates) Brown, Benjamin Green, Donna Dean, and Donald R. Green Jr., and her great-grandchildren: Patience, Andrew, and Emily Stoltz, Audrey Bost, Emerson, and Norah Crook, as well as her step-great grandson, Landon Keating.
Forever etched in her heart was her close friend and the father of her children, Dean Stoltz, whose presence added richness to her life's tapestry. Clara is now reunited with those who preceded her in death, her parents, Emory and Anna Englehart Smyers, her beloved husband, Richard L. White, son-in-law Donald Ralph Green, and her cherished siblings: Mary, Louis, Luther, Melvin, Carl, Donald, Ora, Helen, and Eugene. She holds a special place for her great grandson, Nathaniel Allan Stoltz, who has also left this world too soon.
Those who knew Clara will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. A visitation is scheduled for January 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore, Ohio, followed by her funeral service on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, which has been changed due to the the weather and the level 3 snow emergency. Burial to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Gardens. As her family and friends come together to reminisce and honor the remarkable woman she was, may they find solace in the smiles she inspired and the heart she touched.
Clara G. Stoltz-White will be remembered not just for her accomplishments or the roles she played, but for the love she fostered and the peace she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. A small but mighty force, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and unyielding strength.
