Chris Bayer

Chris Bayer, 60, of Lancaster, passed away on November 16, 2021 at the Fairfield Medical Center. He was born to the late Paul and Marilyn Bayer in Columbus, OH.

Chris was a dedicated husband who loved his children and grandchildren.  He was a hard worker and stayed very busy.  He won the hearts of many people in our community with his helping hands, his incredible amount of knowledge and his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Denney; children, Brian Bayer and Lisa (E.J.) McCoy; grandchildren, Cody and Chase McCoy, and Cara and Caitlyn Bayer; step-son, Jarid Denney; brother, Scott (Theresa) Bayer; and sisters, Joanne Bayer and Bitsy (Bill) Enyart.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Matt Bayer and Jerry Bayer; sister, Terry Gerardi; and parents.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 12 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. Family and friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of service on Monday. Caring Cremation to follow.
