Charlie (Tom) Thornton, age 74, of Lancaster, died Friday Sept. 6, at Pickering House.
He was a retired truck driver of over fifty years. He was a Korean Conflict US Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #11 and 40 et 8.
He is survived by his wife Susan Reinshell, daughters Jenny and Jovetta, son Michael (Angela) DeLong, sisters Jane Jackson, Nancy Reynolds, and Judy Ailes, a brother Ray Thornton, grandchildren Karena, Jacob, Kilynn, Peyton, and Allison, great grandchildren Gracie, Bellah, Elijah, and Kenna, special friends Scott, Becky Jo, and Joey Thomas, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Roger.
Friends may call at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Tuesday Sept. 10th from 4-7 P.M. where a celebration is to follow at 7:00 P.M. Caring Cremation® is to follow. Memorial Gifts may be made to the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.funeralhome.com.
