Charles "Butch" Woods, Sr

Charles “Butch” A. Woods, Sr. 69 of Rushville, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his residence.

He was a retired construction supervisor for Apco Industries and went to school at Liberty Union High School. Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved his grandkids and family. He loved his dogs and especially Peppi. He also enjoyed growing roses and gardening.

Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carlotta Sue Woods; son, Charles A. (Lori) Woods, Jr. of Reidsville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Melanie, Mikey, Josh and Valerie; brother, Michael Woods of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; sisters, Linda Woods of Logan, Ohio, Rose Wolfe of Columbus, Ohio and Mary (Gary) Boring of Thurston, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, special niece and nephew, Sis and Bubby, great nieces, nephews and special friends, Pete and Mary and Barb Claypool.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael S. Woods, parents, Samuel and Helen (Grubb) Woods, in-laws, Edsel and Jane Lyons, brothers-in-law, Bob Wolfe and Gary Lyons and great nephew, Hunter Barber.

The family would like to specially thank, Tammy, Anthony, Connie, Dr. Singh, Dr. Hassel and FairHoPe Hospice for the love and care of him.

Funeral service will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 407 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105 with Pastor Jason Williams officiating. Caring Cremation® will take place after the service. Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 and 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
