Charles Schorr

Charles N. Schorr, age 85, of Amanda, Ohio passed away on February 11, 2017. He was born May 26, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio to Charles Francis and Mary Frances (Sheets) Schorr; and husband to Joyce (McGee) Schorr for 52 years.
Charles was a member of the National Guard, Company D and a 63 year member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 189. Charles was an avid camper, fisherman, and woodworker.
Charles is survived by children, Rhonda (Jim) Lewis, Charles R. Schorr, Dianna (Donald “Butch”) Hoffmann, Cheryl (Douglas) Byers, Jeffrey (Valinda) Schorr, and Paul “Pete” (Carla) Schorr; sister, Florence Ellis; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sisters, Mary Frances Hartman, Elizabeth Rose, and Theresa Gartner.
Friends and family may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster.
Donations can be made in memory of Charles to a charity of the donor’s choice.
