Charles Warren Osbun May 29, 1922 - July 30, 2014

Charles Warren Osbun, 92, of Lancaster, formerly a 47 year resident of Millersport, passed away July 30, 2014, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1922, in Galloway, Ohio and was a graduate of North High School in Columbus, Ohio.

Charles was a retired dairy farmer. He was a
WW II Veteran serving with the 504th MP Battalion, Company A. He took part in some of the European and African theaters and received a Purple Heart after being wounded at the battle of Anzio. He was an avid OSU fan and loved golf and bowling. He was a member of the American Legion Post 637 in Millersport.

He is survived by his daughters, Carla (Robert) Pellitt of Pickerington and Marla (Charles) Weaver of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Brian Weaver of Columbus, Nathan (Kristan) Weaver of Columbus, and Stephanie Pellitt of Pickerington.

Preceded in death by his wife, Esther Morrow Osbun; father, Frank Osbun and mother, Dema Osbun Livingston; sisters, Elizabeth Butterman and LauraBelle Walbolt; and brother, George Osbun.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Funeral service after the visitation at 11:00 am Saturday. Burial will follow at the Millersport Cemetery with military honors by the Millersport Veterans Burial Detail.
