Charles “Chuck” Montague 86 passed away in Henderson, Nevada with his family by his side. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church, a 1943 Lancaster High School graduate, Navy Veteran of World War 2, member of Mould Maker’s Union #173, life member American Legion Post #11, football and basketball official and past President of South Eastern Ohio officials. He was also a lifetime member of The Lancaster Soap Box Derby, member of Elks Lodge #570, Olivedale Senior Citizens and a member of Valley View Golf Club for 40 years.

He retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Plant #2 as General Manager of Mold and Machine and Mold Cleaning in 1982. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Lou Kneller Montague, son Greg Montague and fiancé Tracey Holthaus all from Henderson, Nevada. Granddaughter Mrs. Angel and (Steve) Leach, great granddaughters Emily and Ashley Leach and great grandson Zachary Leach of Owensboro Kentucky, grandson Scott and (Kim) Woodward and great granddaughter Hailee Woodward of Lexington Kentucky, son-in-law JW Woodward of the Villages Florida, and brother-in-law Gene Kneller of Metairie, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda (Montague) Woodward, sister and brother-in-law Gay and Bob Brenstuhl, parents Parker and Stella Montague and his special in laws Randall and Helen Kneller.

Caring cremation will follow in Henderson, Nevada. Memorials may be given in his name to the charity of your choice.
