Charles Eugene Kness

Charles Eugene Kness, 63 of Lancaster Ohio, has transcended this life.  He was born on April 19, 1960 to his parents Donna and Everet.  Charles was a  graduate of Lancaster High School class of 1978.  He followed school with a career at the Lancaster Water Department.  He found the love of his life in Judy Fairchild.  Together they Married and became parents with the births of Nicholas and Elizabeth.  Then by marriage Chuck gained a daughter-in-law when Nicholas married Tonya.

A kind, gentle, strong and loving father, Chuck was always there for his children.  He was a fantastic father.  Sometimes known as Coach Kness, he was a positive role model for many young children that all loved him dearly.

The joy of his life was his grandchildren.  Chloe, Stella, Georgia, Jasper, Camilla, and Jack all know him as Papa Chuck.  It was by far his favorite name.

Chuck loved to ride. He forged many friendships on the open road with the wind blowing his hair. His time with friends was special to him.  Whether it was golfing in the J.J., working the Lancaster Festival “Compound”, or just sitting on the porch people watching, Chuck always had a smile and a warm heart.

He will be remembered for the love he gave out so freely.  Chuck was always willing to help you out.  Tuesday January 16, 2024 the world lost one of the good ones.  Rest easy Charles Eugene.
