Charles Garrett

Charles W. Garrett, 59 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Pickering House. He was a construction worker and a member of the Local Union 423.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty J. Grandstaff Garrett; son, Travis N. (Dawn) Garrett of Chillicothe, Ohio; daughter, Casey (Matthew) Davis of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Emily, Tanner and Abagail; mother, Geraldine Garrett of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters, Karen (Terry) Osborne of Florida, Joyce Garrett, Linda (Brian) Cottrill all of Lancaster, Ohio, and Clara (Jeff) Cooper of North Carolina; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes to the staff of FairHoPe Hospice and the Pickering House for their love and care of Charles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Garrett.

Funeral service will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Kermit Welty officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
