CHARLES Coey

Charles L. Coey, age 83, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of American Legion Post 11, Life member of Amvets Post 1985, Eagles Lodge #2120, Moose Lodge #955, Chillicothe Elks Lodge #52, member of Electrical Local 683 and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Charles is survived by a daughter, Barbara Nichols of the Home; a son Michael (Cathy) Coey of Junction City; A daughter-in-law, Belinda Coey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren Chuck Coey, Carl Coey, David A. Coey, Anita Perry, Katie Armstrong, Patricia Hughes, Penny Slavik, Tara Poston, Dawnel Reindle, Rick Rothenberger, and Shelley Nichols and Liz Mangual of the home; several Great Grandchildren; brothers, Dow (Sue) Coey and Robert (Marsha) Coey all of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Hazel Mae Coey; his wife Edna Faye Coey; son, David Coey; daughter, Beverly Rothenberger; son-in-law, David Nichols; sisters, Mary Reed, Louise Gumm, Clara Shaw, Carrie Coey, Betty Cottrill, Ruth Porter; brothers, James, Richard, and William Coey.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster OH 43130. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home
