Carol J. Soper wanting to have the last word conveyed her sentiments for this - her last story. She died from lung cancer and wanted to strongly urge smokers to quit. If not for themselves then for their families.
Carol was co-owner of the Antique Palace with her sister Beverly for 23 years. She loved baking and giving Christmas cookies. She never let facts ruin a good story.
Carol loved traveling with her sisters and began her final journey January 4th to be with Jesus and her departed loved ones; her mother, Dorothy Eaton Soper; an unborn sister; beloved aunts, uncles, and many close friends.
Carol was unafraid to pass because in her words “I’m alright with Jesus” and wanted to encourage everyone to look inside and make sure they are too.
She is survived by her sisters, Beverly Soper and Sherry Soper; sisters of the heart, Marilyn Blair, Carol Wildermuth, and Lee Parfitt; and favorite cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, January 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home in Lancaster.
