Carol L. Poff

Carol Poff, 84, of Lancaster, Ohio went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Carol was a member of The Little Country Church in Lancaster, Ohio, Baltimore VFW Post 3761 Auxiliary and was a retired supervisor for 3M Corporation in Baltimore.

Carol is survived, by her daughters Chris (Mike) Varnell of Lancaster and Jennifer (Wayne) West of Plain City and daughter-in-law Cathy Mackie of Lancaster, sisters Louise Rankin and Mary Lou Bentley, grandchildren Kendra Burks, Angie (Todd) Martin, Kyle (Nikki) Mackie, Kelly (Jack) Diles, Candace (Kevin) Daugherty, Kimberly Varnell, Trey (Erin) Locke, and Cassie Martin, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson, longtime friends Judy Reef and Robert West.

Carol is preceded in death by her beloved son Keith Mackie, husband Charles Poff, sister Ruth Jean Boyd, mother Nellie Ervin, and father Arthur Graham. Carol loved her family, treasured dear friends, and enjoyed God's beautiful creation. Her family knew she loved them and that she enjoyed being with them. Carol was an example of strength and compassion to her children and grandchildren. Many who knew her called her friend as she loved gathering with friends on her porch and in her home. She enjoyed her Roxton Ravine Community, her Church family, and the many friends she had made throughout the years. Carol enjoyed gardening, the beauty of flowers and birds, and her pets. She could grow just about anything and shared her love of plants with others. God's nature brought her great joy and pleasure, including the love she had for animals. Carol was very creative and enjoyed baking and cooking for others.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Richard Boucher officiating. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
