Carl Edward Robberts

Carl Edward Robberts, 86, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on February 8, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born to the late Dexter and Violet (Stoltz) Robberts on April 2, 1936 in Basil, OH.

Carl was a member of the Wesleyan church on Broad Street in Lancaster, Ohio.

He retired after 35 years working at Crown-Zellerbach. He enjoyed wood-working, fishing, gardening, and playing his steel guitar.

Carl is survived by his children: Brenda Swyers of Lancaster, Ohio, and Duane (Pam) Robberts also of Lancaster; brothers: Nelson (Judy) Robberts of Newark, Ohio; Daniel Robberts, and John Robberts of Logan, Ohio; sister Connie (Larry) Wills of Baltimore, Ohio, and sister-in-law Norma Robberts of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren: Kendra (Dave) Roby, Shane (Jenn) Robberts, Rev. Luke (Janetta) Robberts, Rev. Zechariah (Sarah) Robberts, Carleen Buckner, Cassandra, Jimmy, and Dalton Evans, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen Mae Robberts (Watters); son, Leon Owen Robberts; daughter, Doreen Marie Evans; parents, Dexter and Violet Robberts (Stoltz); brothers: Gary, Donald, and Paul Robberts; sister, Linda Harris, and sister-in-law, Thelma Robberts.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Luke Robberts and Pastor William Syfert will take place at 10 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. A committal service officiated by Rev. Zechariah Robberts will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8 PM at the funeral home on Friday.
