Carla Lee (Graham) Yantes

Carla Lee Yantes (Graham) age 60 of Lancaster, Ohio passed Saturday February 18, 2023, at 6:41am. peacefully at Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care she fought a long 3-year battle against Breast Cancer. Carla was born on March 9, 1962, and graduated from Lancaster High School 1980.

She worked at Dillard’s and Target in Texas when she moved back to Ohio, she was able to transfer with Target. Then she worked at Anchor Hocking Glass Corp for many years, then she worked at Retriev Technologies and later she was put on disability. She loved her family dearly and everyone she encountered. She always wanted to make people laugh and have a smile. She would do anything for anyone. She was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan and a NASCAR fan. She loved traveling, fishing, camping, and going on cruises with friends and family. She loved her puppies Lilly Mae and Little Bit. Her pride and joy were her son Travis and his beautiful family. She was one of the strongest women we know and taught everyone how important it is to never stop fighting.

She is survived by her boyfriend of 17 years Butch Primmer. Her only son Travis Yantes and daughter in-law Jennifer Yantes. Her 2 granddaughters Baylee and Brinley Yantes. Her ex-husband of 24 years Vincent Yantes. Only living sister Barbara Jean (Larry Arledge), Kelly Seymour Weiland (Paul Weiland), Brain Seymour (Krissie Seymour), Aunt Ethel Walters along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins

Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Robert Graham, brothers Robert (Butch) Graham, James “Jim” Graham and sisters Patricia and Charlotte Linn (Graham).

The family would like to thank Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses, doctors, and cooks for everything they did for Carla to make her transition pain free, and she felt so loved at your facility. We would also like to thank OSU James Cancer hospital along with Doctor Singh for treating Carla cancer and helping her to have 3 years with her amazing family and friends.

The family would like to say a Special Thanks to Aunt Charlette Linn, Bob Linn, Aunt Barbara Jean, Cousin Tim and Amber Deible, Brain and Krissie Seymour, Kelly Seymour Weiland (Paul Weiland), Butch Primmer, Connie Primmer, Larry Parsons, and Dee Obert for the past 3 years for everything that have done for Carla. From all the doctor appointments, chemo, radiation, preparations, visits, stories, memories, and dinners. She loved you with all her heart. We thank you.

The family requested that friends and family wear pink or purple in memory of her fight with Cancer.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00, at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130. The funeral service will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Frank E. Smith Chapel. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
