Carl Spires, Sr

Carl R. Spires, Sr. 74 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Pickering House. He was an US Navy veteran and a foreman at Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. for many years. He was a member of Chief Tarhe Beagle Club.
Carl is survived by his sons, joseph (Cathy) Spires of Bel Air, MD and Carl 9Laurie) Spires, Jr. of Olds Mar, FL; grandchildren, Casey Spires, Courtney Spires, Emily Spires, Gabby Spires, Nick Spires, and Zach Spires; brothers, Rudy Spires, Joe (Karen) Spires and Frank (Darlene) Spires; sister, Linda (Cecil) Peters all of Lancaster, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Spires.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 3p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Linda Ward officiating. Caring Cremation® has taken place. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
