Carl Cub L. Bair 89 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was a World War II US Navy veteran and retired from Fairfield Paper with 38 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, F.O.E. Aries 2120, Lancaster American Legion Post 11, Past Commander of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 and Past Commander of VFW District 11. Cub was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame and loved his crossword puzzles.
Cub is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Ann Rudisill Bair; daughters, Sherry A. Howell of Baltimore, Ohio and Carla S. Reedy of Huber Heights, Ohio; grandchildren, Brian (Marilyn) Howell, Duane (Cindy) Howell, Jason (Julie) Reedy, and Angela (Matt) Knisely; 10 great-grandchildren, brothers, Bob Bair and Larry (Donna) Bair all of Baltimore, Ohio; sisters, Eileen Fat Underwood of Baltimore, Ohio and Patsy (Ralph) Oldaker of Circleville, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Sophie Bair, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Earl Lott, son-in-law, Larry Howell, brothers-in-law, Kenny Underwood and Freddie Rudisill and sister-in-law, Darlene Bair.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
