Carden Hiles

Carden N Hiles age 80 of Lancaster, went to be with our Lord and Savior very suddenly and unexpected on August 24, 2017. Carden was born in Columbus, on March 11, 1937 to the late Jesse and Lucille (Smith) Hiles.

Carden served in the U.S. Navy on the East and West coast. He was a proud veteran. Carden was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on special church mission projects and served on church committees throughout the years. Carden volunteered at the Lan-Fair Center helping with activities and outings. He liked to travel in general and he loved to be with his family for vacations and family gatherings. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He will be missed.

Carden is survived by his wife, Rita Moore Hiles of 47 years. His twin sister, Catherine Leasure of Logan; brother-in-law, Randolph G. Moore; children, Candy (Joe) Walter of Zanesville, Carden N. (Deborah) Hiles II of Thornville, Tracy A. (Geri) Hiles of Amanda, Lisa (Robert) Burkhart of Lancaster. Carden also leaves, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 2PM until 4PM prior to a memorial service on Monday at 4PM at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Todd Noland. The Lancaster Veteran Burial Detail will preside.
