Calvin E. Davis

Calvin E. Davis, age 79 of Carroll went to be with the Lord, on November 9th, 2019 at the Pickering House.  He was born in Beauty, KY on August 14th, 1940 to the late Everett and Mae Hobbs Davis.  Calvin retired as an amazing house painter and wallpaper installer, who greatly enjoyed his profession.  He was a devote member of the Pickerington Church of Christ.  Calvin enjoyed being outside working in his garden or enjoyed wood working and building various things.  He was always busy, always helping with one project or another.  His amazing personality and love for life will be greatly missed by all who knew Calvin and his memories will be cherished

Calvin is survived by his two daughters, Tyra (Wesley) Wagner and Oreatha Davis; grandchildren, Sarah (Tom) McCafferty, Matthew (April) Wagner, Timothy (Erin) Wagner, Mary Rose Wagner, Isaac Wagner, Susanna (Travis) Shingler; great grandchildren Anna Wagner and Annelisa Wagner; brothers, Shirley (Barbara Jean) Davis, Robert (Bertha) Davis, Henry (Rose) Davis, Earnest (Wanda) Davis, and Jack (Janet) Davis; sisters, Mary (George) Hamlton, and Martha Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Davis; parents, and siblings, Shelby Jean Davis, and Oreatha Davis.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 14th, at 1:30PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow at Franklin Hills Cemetery.  Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Donations in Calvin’s name can be made to the Pickerington Church of Christ, 9645 Stoudertown Rd.
