Bryan C. Shook, age 53, of Thurston, died on December 16th, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. Bryan was born on January 17, 1961 to his mother, Betty Imbody Shook and the late Virgil Shook in Wheeling, WV. He attended the Church of Christ in Antioch, OH. He worked as a Monroe County Deputy Sheriff, the Department of Corrections, a Columbus Zoo Security Guard, owned S and S Lawn Mower Repair in Thurston, and worked for PSI Solutions at the Columbus Airport. Bryan loved woodworking, and was known for his amazing lighthouses, varying in size from one inch to 25 feet high. Bryan was quite skilled with his hands. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Kristi Shook; mother, Betty Shook; mother-in-law, Margaret Speaks; brother, Paul (Jeannie) Shook; brother-in-law, Greg Speaks; sister-in-law, Rodawna Deaton; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved kittens, Hankie, Simon, and Sissy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Shook Sapp; father, Virgil Shook; and father-in-law, Keith Speaks.
Caring Cremation will take place through the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home. A celebration of Bryans life will take place at a later date.
