Brooke Evans

Brooke T. (Gilpin) Evans, age 36, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2nd surrounded by family and friends. Brooke valiantly battled cancer for over eight years while balancing being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. For many years she worked as a nurse. She was very active as a volunteer in the Southwest Licking School District. She also enjoyed success as a LuLaRoe consultant over the last few years. Anything she put her mind to she excelled at.

No matter what life threw at her or how her illness made her feel she maintained a zest for life and was always there for the ones she loved. To everyone that met her she was a shining star whose light made the world a brighter place. Her bright light and spirit will be carried on in those whose lives she touched and in her two wonderful boys.

Brooke is survived by her husband, Blake Evans; sons, Nicholas and Landon Evans; parents, Steve and Lori Gilpin; sister, Curri (Joe) Seifert; and grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Brooke was preceded in death by grandmother, Nancy Mattin; and grandfather, Paul E. Gilpin, Jr.

Funeral service for Brooke will held at 11:00 am Friday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
