Brian Warner Swank

Brian Warner Swank, born on September 23, 1986, left this world unexpectedly on September 6, 2024, following a tragic motorcycle accident. A free spirit, Brian lived life to the fullest, embracing the thrill of riding—an unwavering passion that defined his essence. The twists and turns of the open road brought him boundless joy, particularly during rides on the renowned "Tail of the Dragon," where he reveled in every exhilarating moment. He believed wholeheartedly in the freedom that came with his motorcycle, knowing that one day it might take him far too soon. But for Brian, there was no other way he would have chosen.

Professionally, Brian dedicated the last ten years of his life to Anchor Hocking, where he worked diligently as a Floor Operator. It was here that he forged amazing friendships and created bonds of camaraderie that enriched his life. His hard exterior often concealed a heart of gold, revealed only to those fortunate enough to know him. Brian was noted for his extraordinary ability to give the most comforting hugs, radiating pure kindness to all around him.

Accomplished in his own right, he earned his journeyman license and proudly acquired his beloved Harley, achievements that stood as testaments to his determination and zest for life. He graduated from Mauldin High School, a foundational step that propelled him into a life filled with purpose and connection.

Brian's family was an integral part of who he was. He is survived by his loving parents, Tammy (Harold "Buddy") Centner, and his brother, James Centner. He leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles: Shirley Prom, Anthony (Stephanie) Chapman, Frankie (Elizabeth) Chapman, Tonya Chapman, Eric (Diane) Swank, John (Juanita) Swank, Frank Jr. (Sis) Chapman, and Cindy Johnson, along with several cousins who adored him. Brian also cherished the companionship of his two dogs, Hera and Athena, and was surrounded by a network of many close friends, particularly his cherished family at Anchor Hocking.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Brian E. Swank, his Uncle Scottie Chapman, Aunt Juanita Chapman, and his beloved grandparents, Warner and Shirley Chapman and Rose and John Swank. The legacy he leaves is one of unforgettable warmth, adventure, and the indelible spirit of a man who truly lived.

A visitation in Brian's memory will be held at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home at  405 N. Columbus St.  Lancaster, Ohio, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Caring Cremation will follow the visitation. It will serve as a space for family and friends to gather, share stories, and celebrate the remarkable life of Brian Warner Swank—a man whose spirit will always ride on, leaving behind a legacy of love and unforgettable memories.
