Brian Simpson

Brian K. Simpson, 82, of Baltimore, passed away on April 28, 2018. He was born on June 21, 1935 to the late Chester and Helen Simpson in Racine, Ohio.

Brian served his country from 1957-1959 as part of the U.S. Army’s 34th Criminal Investigation Division. After his service ended, he proudly worked for the state of Ohio as a Wildlife Officer & Education Instructor for 33 years. Brian was an avid golfer, and loved the time he was able to coach the Liberty Union JV Golf Teams from 2005-2007. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Baltimore, and a past member of the Ohio Pistol Team where they were the 1972 National Pistol Team Champions.

Brian is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie Simpson; daughter Lisa (Mike) Motsch of Lancaster; son, Darin (Kiersten) Simpson of Munford, TN; grandchildren, Ryan Motsch of Hilliard, Jeremy (Leah) Simpson and Alaina (Spencer) Gulla both of Cincinnati, and Christopher (Katie) Simpson of San Diego, CA; great granddaughter Juniper Rene’ Gulla; brother’s & sister’s-in-law’s Steve Badgley, Tom & Karen Eckersley, Larry & Joyce Badgley; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with viewing one hour prior, at the Christ United Methodist Church, 700 S. Main St., Baltimore, OH 43105 with Rev. Dr. Alice Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Letart Falls Cemetery in Letart Falls, Oh at 3 P.M. Family and Friends may visit from 2-4 P.M. and again from 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OH, 43105.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church in memory of Brian.
