Biography

Brian Wayne Lowe, 46, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Brian was born September 19, 1972, in Akron, Ohio and grew up in Canal Fulton, Ohio.

Brian served in the US Army where he was a Paratrooper and served during Operation Desert Storm. He earned his Masters Degree from Northwestern University. Brian started his career in law enforcement in McArthur, Ohio. He soon moved to the Lancaster Police Department where he has been a police officer for many years. He enjoyed teaching classes at Hocking College and Ohio University - Lancaster. Brian also had his pilots license and loved to fly.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Jocelyn Kelly Lowe; 2 children; mother, Linda Lowe; father, Wayne (Marlene) Lowe; and brother, Bradley (Amy) Lowe.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Ellen Sheets; and Joseph Drew, Jr.

Funeral service for Brian will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Fairfield Christian Church, 1965 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, with Lancaster Police Chaplain, Tony Salvatori, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the church.
