Brenda Sue Hite, 62, of Baltimore, passed away on April 3, 2021. She was born to Jo Ann and the late Richard Swinehart on August 4, 1958 in Lancaster, OH.
Brenda was a former 4-H Advisor, New Salem United Methodist Church member, an employee at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a gardening enthusiast. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known by many as diligent and passionate, no matter the task at hand. If she was not gardening, she was enjoying the company of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Randy Hite; children, Brian (Tonya Balsimo) Hite, Emily (Chris Vaughan) Hite, and Abby Hite; grandchildren, Bryson Hite, Colton Vaughan, Kinsley Vaughan, and Kaleigh Vaughan; five step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; mother, Jo Ann Swinehart; brothers, Mark (Cindy) Swinehart and Greg (April) Swinehart; and several nieces and nephews.
Brenda is preceded in death by her grandson, Lucas Vaughan, and her father, Richard Swinehart.
A funeral service officiated by pastor Jeremy Shank and pastor Thomas Hite will take place at 10 AM in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, OH, 43105 on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Family and friends may visit from 5-8 PM at the funeral home on Friday. A live stream of the service will take place at 10 AM Saturday on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Facebook page. Masks and social distancing are required due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
